ShrooMap ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website shroomap.com and the ShrooMap mobile application (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Services.

Information We Collect

Automatically Collected Information

When you use our Services, we may automatically collect certain information including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, access times, and pages viewed. We use Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use our site.

Optional Performance Measurement

If you opt in, ShrooMap collects loading, interaction and layout-stability measurements plus coarse page type, language, screen category and search/directory outcomes. Within the functional-product path, we count starts, completed steps, results, empty results, product-profile opens, comparisons, saves and shares. The measurement payload contains no finder answers, product IDs, search text, exact location, page URL, account details or persistent visitor identifier. A random temporary ID and revision number connect updates to one performance metric; each metric lifecycle gets an unrelated ID. These IDs are held in page memory and our measurement records, not cookies or browser storage, and are not used to connect separate metrics or visits. We retain the latest revision within each reporting window when calculating percentiles.

Your performance preference is stored in your browser. You can turn collection off at Performance preferences. A rejected analytics choice, Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control takes priority. These preferences govern this optional performance feature; they do not enable advertising. Metric revisions and action observations are reported in aggregate and are not counts of unique people.

Mushroom Finder Choices and Shortlists

The finder topic and the country or state selected in the psychoactive information path stay in page memory. They are not saved, added to shared links, or sent as analytics events. Leaving that information path or reloading clears its jurisdiction selection. The information path has no product shortlist or provider recommendation.

Finder answers stay in page memory and reset on reload. If you choose to save a shortlist, only product IDs and a 30-day expiry are saved in this browser; you can remove the saved shortlist in the finder. Saving does not enable analytics. A shared shortlist includes product IDs in the link fragment, without your answers. Anyone you give the link to can see that shortlist. No account or email address is required.

Account Information

When you create an account through the ShrooMap mobile app using Sign in with Apple or other authentication methods, we collect your name and email address. This information is used to personalize your experience and enable features such as saving favorite products and submitting reviews.

Location Data

The ShrooMap mobile app may request access to your device's location to provide the store locator feature. Location data is processed locally on your device and is not stored on our servers or shared with third parties. You can disable location services at any time through your device settings.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our website and store certain information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.

You may delete your account at any time through the Profile section of the ShrooMap mobile app by tapping "Delete Account." When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data, including your profile information, saved products, and reviews. This action is irreversible.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account directly from the ShrooMap mobile app at any time. For EU residents, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For California residents, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
